Add Soundcloud to Social Media Icons

    So I think this may be very closely related to this post: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/add-telegram-to-social-media-icons/

    But I have not been able to get it working for me with my use case and was wondering if someone could help me see how to get this done.

    I’m using the affinity theme that has a Social Menu in the footer that appears to automatically assign social media link icons based on the contents of the url entered. Based on the code it looks like it is using jetpack-social-menu to do this so in order to get a soundcloud logo to appear it is necessary to add this into jetpack.

    I have been staring at social-media-icons.php but I’m not sure where/how to add this in.

    Your request is indeed similar to the one you linked to.

    You’ll need to add a code snippet to your site thanks to a plugin like this one:

    The code snippet you’ll have to work with is available at the bottom of this page:

    You will obviously need to replace all references to LinkedIn by Soundcloud, and you’ll need to specify your own SoundCloud profile link.

    However, like in the other thread, you’ll need to use your own CSS to load a SoundCloud icon in the widget, as it doesn’t come with a SoundCloud icon by default. To do that, you’ll need to be familiar with CSS. If you’re not, I would recommend hiring a WordPress professional that can do that for you:

    Another alternative would be to look for a different widget in the plugin directory, that will include the SoundCloud icon by default.
