Add Space Above Navigation Links

I’d like to add some space between the end of the post and the navigation links. I’ve tried using margin and padding in the css area of the plugin settings page, but it doesn’t appear to be affecting anything.

Is there another setting I’m missing, or is there something else I need to adjust?
