    Hi,
    I need to have option to redirect customers to official stripe checkout page instead of doing card payment in my own website & custom form. It is because they told me in support that chargeback protection is only available on checkout and not in woocommerce. So for now I can’t use chargeback protection because this plugin doesn’t support this…
    Would you take my proposal into consideration?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @xdekhckr

    Thank you for contacting us. That is correct, the chargeback protection is only offered via the Stripe Checkout payment page. There is a cost associated with adding chargeback protection, it’s not a free service offered by Stripe.

    Here is a helpful guide on the eligibility requirements of Stripe Checkout.

    We’ve engaged with Stripe in the past on implementing Checkout but it was not recommended at the time. We’ll send a follow-up with the Stripe team regarding your request.

    I believe there is Stripe plugin on the WordPress repo that does support Stripe Checkout.

    Kind Regards,

    We got the same request. love your plugin. But we have to deactivated and use another as the leak off use the Stripe Checkout payment page. ?chargeback protection is an important option for many e-store. And you do not find out before you got an fraud chargeback case and Stripe tell you, sorry we do not cover as you do not use Stripe Checkout.

    Other who offer the optios:

    webtoffee stripe payment

    itstripe Stripe Express

    @mrclayton, did you get any updates?

    No, we didn’t get any support to fix this, so we for now use the webtoffee stripe payment

    Well this is important for many stores for now, because mohio (popular stripe hitter that got leaked) was patched (by stripe) and can’t be used directly on official stripe checkout website, it can still be used for fraud tho on embedded payment pages like this plugin is offering. Be aware.

    Yes, you are half right. It is because stripe chargeback protection requires stripe fraud radar? Yes, but the cost is relatively low, like few cents for successful transaction. Also stripe offers chargeback protection up to $25k. You are also right that any other plugin that supports stripe offers redirect to official checkout.

    For anyone interested that want to keep this plugin without getting hit by fraud attempts, use these rules in Fraud Radar:
    Request 3D Secure if NOT :has_cryptogram: and :risk_score: > 5 and :card_3d_secure_support: != ‘not_supported’ and :card_funding: != ‘prepaid’

    and

    Block if NOT :is_3d_secure: and NOT :is_off_session: and :digital_wallet: != ‘apple_pay’ and (:digital_wallet: != ‘android_pay’ and not :has_cryptogram: and :risk_score: > 10)

    Hi @zoonars

    It looks like Stripe may be supporting this feature via the Stripe payment form so very shortly it could be a moot point.

    We’re having some follow up meetings with Stripe after the holiday’s to get more information.

    Hi @mrclayton

    yes we really need Stripe checkout as it’s very important, but my question since many plugins in the market supports it why you still have discusions with Stripe? as they approve it to other plugins

    I think they are lazy, because stripe checkout links can be generated dynamically and I don’t think that such plugin need to be approved by stripe to use this feature, it’s just automation

    Please re-read my previous reply. The discussion with Stripe is regarding chargeback protection when using the Stripe payment form. If Stripe greenlights chargeback protection when using the Stripe payment form, then there’s no reason to use Stripe Checkout.

    If there are other plugins that support Stripe Checkout, then use the plugin that best suits your business needs.

    @mrclayton we like your plugin so we asked you about the stripe checkout feature not to tell us go away and use another plugin, as we already know there are other plugins supports stripe checkout, so since we want to use your plugin you should listen to customers requests and try to achieve it as long as it’s valid requests

    Respectfully, you were not told to go away. I recommended you use the plugin that best suits your business needs.

    so since we want to use your plugin you should listen to customers requests and try to achieve it as long as it’s valid requests

    That is why I informed you that we have a meeting scheduled with Stripe to discuss their roadmap for chargeback protection. If we weren’t listening to your request, we wouldn’t take the time to meet with Stripe.

    Kind Regards
