• When you Edit a CataBlog Entry the “add sub image” or “replace main image” no longer work. Same problem on 2 sites I have. Seems to have started after the latest wordpress version 5.5 update.

    To fix the problem temporarily, I installed the plugin “WP Downgrade” and downgraded WordPress to the previous version 5.4.2. It’s working again now.

    I’m sorry to hear this. I do not have time to look at the code changes needed anytime soon. So sorry. If someone else comes up with a solution I will happily evaluate it.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    I found the following plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ that fixes this issue. I carried out a test in my dev site and it works ??

    Here is the issue found by the above plugin when updating the images under CataBlog -> Library.

    jQuery Migrate Helper — Warnings encountered
    This page generated the following warnings:

    jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated
    jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated
    jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated
    Please make sure you are using the latest version of all of your plugins, and your theme. If you are, you may want to ask the developers of the code mentioned in the warnings for an update.

    And here is the solution for the above jQuery deprecated method.

    https://www.w3schools.com/jquery/event_on.asp

    I hope the above helps.

    Kind regards

    I have the same issue. The solution provided by mbrsolution works very well –
    any thanks for your help.

    Great to know there is a solution, but can somebody walk me through how to implement it? Would greatly appreciate it.

    @tadyk,

    All you have to do is install the following plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/. It will fix the issue for you.

    Kind regards

    Confirmed. This solution — installing the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin — works, for this issue as well as the creating-a-new-category issue. Good find and fix. Thank you, mbrsolution!

    After the update to WP 5.6, this issue has flared again. The Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin is not fixing the problem. Anyone got a new solution? THANKS!

    So unless we find a solution, it’s safe to say, don’t update to WP 5.6

    Anybody know of something similar in case the problem cannot be solved?

    I found a SOLUTION!

    Using the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper, I set the jQuery version to “Legacy 1.12.4-wp” and it started working.
