• Thank you for making such great, easy to use themes!

In line with Google’s guideline update from last year it would be great for Customizr to add the following options:

    * In addition to “Author” for each post/page I want to be able to add “Fact-Checked by” or “Medical review by” or “Reviewed by.” Different sites may want to choose between these options for display text. The Fact checker’s name would then hyperlink to other articles which they were the fact checker for, similar to author pages.

    * For some posts I want to be able to choose “evidence-based” which shows up at the top or bottom of the article in green with a check mark. or “Fact checked” This button then links to a pop-up with a list of that websites fact checking standards.

    * It would be great if both of these options could be varied for each post. While they can be added separately at the bottom of each post, it would be lovely.

While I might be able to do this with a child theme, these are some of the editorial standards that “Google Reviewers” are evaluating all sites by, so it is an opportunity to differentiate Customizr vs. other themes. This could be either part of Pro or an add-on feature or plugin for additional $$.

    Examples:

WebMD uses “reviewed by” and puts it at the bottom of each article.
dietdoctor.com uses “Medical review by” and puts it at the top next to author (my preference, but either work)
    Healthline

Thanks for this feedback and request.
This type of field are good candidates for a plugin like Advanced Custom Fields.
Can you share the link to those Google’s guidelines ?
    Thanks

Google’s “Quality Rater Guidelines” E-A-T Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trustworthinessare Google’s Quality Rater Guidelines, a 160+ page document that Google makes public.

This page gives you a good overview. Here’s Google in their own words.

They emphasize that for YMYL (Your Money Your Life ) websites to rank well, they need to emphasize E-A-T. EAT stands for Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trustworthiness. (Section 3.2 page 19).

By having quality editors, authors for YMYL sites can reinforce the positive reputation of their site. See section 4.4 Positive reputation and 4.6. For example, a journalist can write the article and then have an editor with an MD or PHD specializing in that topic review it, to the benefit of both. The specialists who are the highest quality editors are often not great writers.

5.0 Highest qualiity pages & 5.1 very high quality main content vs. 6.0 low quality pages 6.1 lacking EAT. In the mean time I’ll check out that plugin.

    Your support is always amazing!
