Add this delete counts after updates

  • Hello,

    I have once contacted the support via email they never found the solution , the kind of answer “find it yourself” with screen shots for html sites.

    I have no issue with my hmtl site yet in wordpress the issue is back !

    On my front page I was at more than Two millions count shares, after plugins update it went down to hundred!

    On some pages (as wordpress works with posts) some have no count not a simple image not even a 0 , some went from Three Hundred to 0…

    Etc I could tell a lot about it , I’m at a point where I think of the use of this plugin and deleting it as the customers don’t see the real activity.

    My site looks like new to new visitor when it has many years of life.

    So tell me people what is wrong with this plugin?! (don’t tell me to delete all the plugins in wordpress cos that is not the answer)

  • Due to a change that Facebook made to their API on April 18, 2019, all Facebook share counts were lost. We have found a way to temporarily restore a subset of Facebook share counts and are working on a long term fix to restore the complete Facebook share totals. However, at this time you may be seeing inaccurate or missing share counts while we work with Facebook to resolve this issue completely. We appreciate your patience, stay tuned for further updates!

    Thank you for your reply. As I said it happened before so i’m not sure all counts are from facebook but hope you get this fixed of you will loose credibility.

    my developer says there is a problem with the json , he thinks also that the counts disappear after certain time

    but try to find what’s wrong and why there is no image or count down

    Any progress with this issue? Love the plugin, but we are seeing this issue too – would be great to get our ‘count’ back,

    The current status of this issue is that we were able to restore a subset of Facebook share counts and are working on a long term fix to restore the complete Facebook share totals. We understand that share counts are very important to our users and are hoping to have a resolution soon.

    I noticed some counts are “back” if I can say so.
    Strangely some have still blank space in the middle I don’t understand.

    Hope you get this fixed shortly so I won’t have to delete this awesome plugin

    @sitescreeditor If you are referring to the space between the individual buttons, our share buttons are designed to have that space. If you are referring to something else, can you send an email to [email protected] since this is an issue unrelated to the thread? We will be happy to help you out there!

    once again talking to a wall or a machine… you asked for a screen shot I gave you one. If you can’t see that there is no result on some posts then you have a problem!

    Due to the number of separate share button sets present on the page, the Facebook application request limit is being reached. The solution would be to display the share buttons only within the actual post or to reduce the number of posts that are previewed on pages like this. Please let me know if you have any questions about that.
