Hi Wordfence Admin, I really appreciate Wordfence but Many People including me are facing server down issue during Brute Force Attack so to reduce server resources during Brute Force I suggest a feature should be added like some other plugins to redirect Hacker/ Bot to any other unreachable url or IP to prevent our server to go down because wordfence already slows down the backened dashboard and brute force attacks also make the performance very down so please add this feature here is the example in this screenshot https://prnt.sc/26vizdg and add a feature to edit prefix of database to change it something else instead wp_.

    Thank You

Hi @mweducator, thanks for getting in touch.

Although I can never promise inclusion of customer suggestions to the product, I have put this forward to the development team where everything is discussed.

We consider changing the table prefix in WordPress to be a “security through obscurity” style method of hiding your data so that particular option is unlikely to be added to Wordfence: https://www.wordfence.com/blog/2016/12/wordpress-table-prefix/

The best method of securing your site is by having 2FA and reCAPTCHA enabled on your WordPress administrator accounts, with long complex passwords for control panels, databases and other potential entries to your site’s files and data.

    Thanks,

    Peter.

Hi Wordfence Team, Finally I have found the main cause of compatibility issue with wpforo Forum plugin actually User’s were not able to register and login through wpforo Forum plugin page but today I disabled “reCAPTCHA on the login and user registration pages” on Wordfence Plugin and Problem got solved and It’s nice Admin can not login through wpforo Forum login pages so I am comfortable with this. so This error was due to V3 Recpatcha that was creating issue with wpforo Plugin and due to which users(subscribers were unable to register/login).
