For both desktop and mobile phones, on subcategories view, I cannot get add to cart buttons, and I cannot find anywhere in woocommerce to allow the button to appear. The product image hover link works on desktop but doesnt work at all on a mobile. Nothing can be added from the category hover whilst using a mobile. Only when drilling down to actual product, can a mobile select Add to Cart. and even then, it does not add the number of items to the tiny menu bar icon for cart, but it does add numbers for desktop. I have everything up to date and theme avada up to date, so before spending a gazillion hours trying to test where the conflict is, does anyone know why woo commerce doesnt work?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • It looks like a theme-related issue. Update the Avada theme and its builder to the latest version, clear the cache, and check whether it resolves or not. You can also contact Avada theme support here: https://theme-fusion.com/support/submit-a-ticket/

Sometimes conflicts between WooCommerce and other plugins or customizations can cause issues with add to cart buttons or product image hover links. You can test this by temporarily disabling other plugins or reverting to the default theme to see if the issue persists.

Additionally, ensure you have the latest version of WooCommerce installed, as updates often include bug fixes and performance improvements.

thanks Shameen. I did change to another theme and at least the add to cart buttons showed, on desktop only, on the categories. However on a mobile, the shop is completely broken, add to cart does not add to cart, nor will woocommerce let me add a person, so we can pay. So the form where you put your address for billing etc, half the fields get greyed out, making it impossible to fill in, so we cant make a test purchase. Also if we put in returning user, it brings up a critical error on the site.
I have disconnected 80% of the plugins but so far cannot fix this totally broken site. I really dont think Avada fixes broken woocommerce in so many critical areas. We havent yet renewed support licence, because we want to know if there is any point, since its a woo commerce error.

    Hi @webdesinz ,

    Thanks for providing an update!

Please could you clarify which theme you temporarily switched to? It’s recommended to switch to a default WordPress or WooCommerce theme, such as Storefront, to check if the issue is resolved.

You can read more on how to perform a full conflict test here.

After checking your site on mobile, here is what I can see:

Add to cart on hover (subcategories): Add to cart seems to work as expected on my end on mobile.

Mini cart after adding to cart: The number of items added to the cart does not display in the mini cart.

Billing and Shipping fields: These fields work as expected on my end, and are input fields are editable.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache, and seeing if the issue is still there when visiting your site not logged in? Also, can you try using a different browser on mobile?

The functionality of your site on mobile is dependant on the specific theme you are using. If the issue persists on your end with the Avada theme, I’d suggest reaching out to their support for further help with this, since support related to third-party themes/plugins is outside our scope of support.

Here is a direct link to their support.

On the other hand, if the issue is still present on your site with a default theme, such as Storefront, active and all plugins except WooCommerce deactivated, then please can you share the following:

    • System Status Report: navigate to?WooCommerce?→?Status. Select?Get system report?and then?Copy for support.
    • Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under?WooCommerce?→?Status?→?Logs.

Once you have these, please share them in your response here.

    Cheers!

Hi thank you, that is very awesome for providing such a quick comprehensive reply. I tried this theme: Shop WooCommerce Version: 1.0.3 by gradientthemes, and it immediately provided an add to cart button under the text. Exactly what we wanted, but didnt fix the mobile view and ability to pay.

We dont really care if add to cart stays on the product image but we want the add to cart button under the price too. Because it is fiendishly awkward to try and manipulate the image on a mobile to activate the tiny text.

As it happens after writing here, I looked at it again, and fixed it just an hour ago by deactivating more plugins, finding the culprit, purging cache, going incognito on a mobile, and it appears to have been: form maker, wp forms lite, wp spam-shield. So I have left them deactivated, and tested a few purchases using a mobile, with the Avada theme, and it worked fine, just as you have now found out. We will still contact Avada as we know the theme is faulty.
    Many thanks for your help.

    Hi @webdesinz ,

You are very welcome – really glad to hear that you managed to find the culprit(s) ??

Absolutely, I hear you! I would suggest reaching out to Avada support to see if they perhaps have a setting or workaround for this behavior, since this seems to be a feature of their theme.

I will go ahead and mark this as resolved then. Feel free to create a new topic if you need further help.

Also, if you have a few minutes, we’d love it if you could leave us a review:
