    Hi there,
So i have installed woocommerce on my domain. And added some products. But i’m noticing, that the add to cart and the buy now button are not working. They are not adding any products to the cart, just refreshing the page. Here is one of the product pages
    https://allaz.nl/product/nuki-smart-lock-2-0-elektronisch-deurslot/
I have also activated only the Storefront theme to test it out, but that still did not work.
Strangely, if you are on for example this page: https://allaz.nl/product-category/domotica/smart-locks/

Then the hover add to cart button, does add produts to the cart. But the main add to cart does not work. Any advice guys?

    Gr,
    Erick

    Hi @webshoppie,

Testing on your site today I can see that when the Add To Cart button is clicked on this product the page refreshes and the product is not added to cart.

    https://allaz.nl/product/nuki-smart-lock-2-0-elektronisch-deurslot/

If I bypass the Add To Cart button on your site using a direct add to cart link I noticed that the product is then added to cart.

    https://allaz.nl/product/nuki-smart-lock-2-0-elektronisch-deurslot/?add-to-cart=5294

This indicates that something on your site either a plugin or theme is preventing the add to cart buttons from working as they should.

We’d suggest testing for conflicts on your site by disabling all other plugins aside from WooCommerce along with switching to a theme like Storefront. This will help with trying to and locate what software you have installed which could possibly be causing this behaviour? You could use a free plugin called Health Check and Troubleshooting to carry out such testing.

When in Troubleshooting mode all plugins will be deactivated and only the admin of the site carrying out the troubleshooting would see those changes. Any customers visiting the site would see no changes at all.

Once you have disabled all other plugins and switched theme if the behaviour is resolved you can then enabled your theme and sites plugins testing after each one is enabled until the behaviour returns to locate the culprit.

    Hello Stuart,
thanks for the reply. I was already trying out what you suggested. I disabled all plugins except for woocommerce. And only activated the Storefront themes. YOu can see the situation when visiting the link now.

But unfortunately, the same issue is present. Any other ideas what to do?

Hi @webshoppie – Looking at this now with the Storefront theme active, it’s looking more like a caching issue. You can see that the product seems to be added to the cart, but the cart shows as empty: https://d.pr/i/gbkEYW

Can you ensure that you both don’t a) have a caching plugin active, and b) don’t have any server-side caching from your hosting provider?

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Hi There,
Sorry. I thought i had already replied to this ticket. The problem was indeed a caching issue. Although my caching plugin was diabled, it was somehow still being cached on the server/hosting. After upgrading some hosting software, all works fine now.

    Thanks for the tips.

    Erick
