    My “add to cart” button yields a “404” page. I have researched this for two full days on support forum, tried all the suggestions, but still not working.

    Hi @swest100

    Can you please navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced and set the Cart page as your cart page. Once done, head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

    • WooCommerce transients – Clear
    • Expired transients – Clear
    • Clear template cache – Clear
    • Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
    • Clear customer sessions -Clear

    Next, please clear your browser cache and then check again.

    If this does not make a difference, delete the .htaccess file from your WordPress installation root, then navigate to Settings > Permalinks and click on save changes without changing anything to flush permalinks settings.

    Yes, the first sentence of your email cleared that problem. Thank you very much.

    However, now the right column of the cart says “this is an example widget….” How do I make that disappear. I know it has a link to widgets, but I don’t see any widget that can help me.

    If you can help me with that issue and I get all my ebooks uploaded, I think I will be ready to open my store.

    Navigate to Appearance > Widgets to remove any widgets added to the sidebar widget.

    Thanks to your help I think I am ready to open my store. I have 2 remaining concerns:

    1. I think I gave an incorrect tax id number. How do I correct this?
    2. My site still says “This is a demo store for testing purposes — no orders shall be fulfilled.” How do I correct this.?

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Looking at your shared system status report, I could notice you’re using our WooPayments plugin, therefore, if this is where you want to make changes to your Tax ID, please follow the steps in our detailed guide.

    My site still says “This is a demo store for testing purposes — no orders shall be fulfilled.” How do I correct this.?

    It is possible this notice is coming from your Payment Gateways being in test mode. I recommend heading over to WooCommerce > Settings > PAyaments > WooPayements > Manage > Uncheck Sandbox mode and save the changes. Then refresh your site to see if the notice still exists.

    Make sure to uncheck sandbox mode/test mode from any other payment methods in use.
