Add to cart button not working on single product page

    I can add to cart from the product catalog but when I click add to cart from the single product page, it goes directly to the cart and says the cart is empty.

    I found an old topic with the same title but it doesn’t seem to be the same problem

    Hey @ctafret80,

    I’m sorry to hear that the Add to Cart button isn’t working as expected on your Single Product Page. I was able to replicate the issue on my end as well.

    This type of issue is often caused by conflicts with third-party plugins or themes. To check if this plugin or another third-party plugin/theme might be causing the issue, could you try running a full conflict test? This involves:

    • Switching temporarily to a default theme, like Storefront.
    • Disabling all plugins except for WooCommerce.

    Please let us know if this resolves the issue!

    I temporarily switched the Theme to “Twenty Twenty-Five” as suggested the conflict test link you sent. I also disabled all plugins except WooCommerce. Neither change resolved the issue. I did notice that if you add an item to cart from the product catalog (page called categories), it successfully goes to the cart and thereafter, items can be added to the cart from the Single Product Page – even if the cart has been emptied. After clearing cookies, it returned to the behavior of not adding to the cart. So whatever is preventing the Single Product Page “Add to Cart” from working isn’t a problem if the Catalog page “Add to Cart” has previously been used and is stored in the cookies.

    Hey @ctafret80 ,

    The most common cause of this type of problem is caching. Can you please head over to?WooCommerce → Status → Tools?and doing the following:

    • WooCommerce transients?–?Clear transients
    • Expired transients?–?Clear transients

    Next, please clear all site and server caching mechanisms, as well as browser cache, and see if this resolves the issue?

    Additionally, can you reach out to your host and ask them to make sure that the following pages are excluded from being cached:

    • Cart
    • Checkout
    • My Account

    Those three pages should never be cached. Please let us know how this goes.
