Add to Cart event not triggered (facebook pixel)

    Hi sweetcode,

    we use the oro version of your plugin on the website of a client for the facebook pixel/tracking and we can track now everything correctly, except the add-to-cart event on the product pages – this event is not triggered.
    We use the theme Elessi and everything is up to date.

    Can you please help us with that?!

    Hi Robert

    I checked on your website. I also see that it doesn’t work on your website. But, the selector on that add-to-cart button, which my plugin uses, works fine on your website. That could mean that some other process is removing the event handler that our plugin attaches to the add-to-cart button.

    I could imagine that the sidecart does it.

    Could you try disabling the sidecart plugin and try again?

    thank you for your feedback!
    We would prefer to keep the sidecart, but we will investigate if this causes the issue.
    Is there a way to ?reattach“ those events with delay through code injected by our child theme?
    Do you have a code snippet for this?

    First we need to find out if the sitecart is part of the problem.

    Could you let me know if disabling the sitecart resovles the problem?

    we disabled the side cart, but unfortunately it did not solve the issue.
    Any ideas left?

    I looked further into it and found a workaround that should work in your case.

    I’ll publish this with the next version 1.15.3, maybe today, or sometime this week.

    I’ll let you know when you can try it out.

    We updated, but the add to cart event is still not triggered …
    unfortunately.

    I’ve spent some time to further analyse this and found that the theme is detaching or overriding our add-to-cart click listener. I prepared a video that shows which theme file is causing it. You’ll be able to send it to the theme developers and hopefully they will find a way to fix this.
