• Greetings. I would like to know if it would be possible to add a “buy now” or “add to cart” button from the homepage, where I have (or want to have, it’s under construction) a pricing table to list the different projects I want to sell.

I’m currently using WooCommerce, since I want to be able to charge via PayPal (for people who want to pay with credit or debit cards, with or without a PayPal account). The issue is that, unless you have the Pro version of WooCommerce, you can only buy or add a product to the cart from its dedicated product page, and the leader of the project I’m in doesn’t want every product to have its own dedicated page – they want it to be possible to buy / add the product to cart directly from the page it’s displayed in – not a separate product page.

Do you know of any free alternatives to WooCommerce that I can use to achieve this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards

  • I suggest you can try these 2 plug-ins:

    WordPress Simple PayPal Shopping Cart

    WordPress PayPal

    Hope this helps ??

    Hello

Have you tried adding the WooCommerce content block called Hand Picked Products?

What kind of product are you wanting to display on the front page?

Thank you! I have downloaded these two plugins and I have them (disabled) in my plugins list ready to implement if all else fails. Regrettably, the PayPal buttons aren’t customizable, so I’ll either have to make do with the ones included, or look for a different solution.

I don’t know if this block is available in Gutenberg, but it certainly isn’t in Elementor. Every WooCommerce block for Elementor is a premium feature.
Edit: I just checked in Gutenberg and the block isn’t there.

Thanks for sharing that every WooCommerce block for Elementor is a premium feature.

I used the free WooCommerce block on a homepage without Elementor on localhost and that works normally for adding an “Add to Cart” on a homepage.

Do you have another solution or will you go with the 2 plugins that @lucaslitextension had suggested?

As a matter of fact, nor WordPress PayPal, nor WordPress Simple PayPal Shopping Cart seem to work. I tried editing the page where I want to use them without Elementor (switching back to Gutenberg for that specific page) and the blocks don’t appear.

The same thing happened with WooCommerce’s free Gutenberg blocks.

EDIT: as it seems, it was one of the addon packs for Elementor that seemed to be hiding my WooCommerce blocks for Gutenberg, and possibly also the blocks of the 2 plugins that @lucaslitextension had recommended. I might be able to manage with WooCommerce alone, but I’ve yet to try it out. I’ll post an update once I’m done implementing it!
