    Hello!

I noticed in Google Tag manager preview mode that when I add something to cart on the product detail page, there seem to be 2 pageviews sent to Google analytics. First there is the pageview including the add to cart, then it is a pageview of the same page again. This doesn’t happen when I add something to cart via a category page.

Is this something that I can make sure doesn’t happen?

I don’t want there to be double pageviews sent to Google analytics when someone adds something to their cart.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi there,

What plugin are you using to add your tracking code? I’m asking as the core WooCommerce plugin itself doesn’t have any options in that regard and I’d like to make sure you’re getting help from the most appropriate support platform ??

Thanks for the swift response ??

For more help on why there are duplicate event tracking, I’d recommend reaching out to their developers at https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/duracelltomi-google-tag-manager/. Off the top of my head, it sounds like there might be duplicate tracking code entries on some of your pages (maybe due to template overrides?) although their developers are in the position to check on that.

    Hello again!

I double checked and there is in fact a new page reload when someone adds something to their cart on the product detail page so this must be caused by Woocommerce. Are there any Woocommerce settings I can edit to make sure that the page doesn’t reload?
