add to home button on desktop

Hi.
I had the box checked to add the add popup to desktops. I have since disabled this feature as it displays on every page even after clicking the X.
But the popup continues to display on desktop!
How do I get rid of this add to homescreen popup on desktop?? I have flushed all cache.
