Do I need the PRO version for that? I only have the free version…

It does work with free version too. Can you please set Application Icon and Splash Screen Icon size and type as instructed. And check it once and let us know back.

Application Icon: Must be a PNG image exactly 192×192 in size.
Splash Screen Icon: Must be a PNG image exactly 512×512 in size.

I did as recommended but why should this change whether the question “add to home screen” appears or not?

Anyway, the message/question still doesn’t appear.

Additional hint: I tried it with iPad and iPhone on Google Chrome browser.
