Hi. Thanks for this great plugin.

I am optimizing my page in google pagespeed insights.

Among the things that you ask me to improve is adding <link rel=preload> to the ratemypost.woff font, which I understand is part of your plugin.

Is it possible to add this?

Hi, on exactly the same issue, is there any timetable to when it is likely to be implemented or could any hint be given on how it could be temporary done via theme files / hack plugin until an official plugin update is released as having a serious issue with google’s seo requirements now..

    …fonts/ratemypost.woff?9e18pt
    1,080 ms

google is adding 1 sec to the overall LCP time which is a core vital statistic google uses and effects page ranking.

    Thanks.

Hi wonder if there is going to be any development of this plugin to handle the font issue – it sounds a small issue a font loading time, but 1 sec for a font on mobiles via google’s algorithm core vital audits makes the different between a core vital pass and a core vital fail on a page article. Sadly core vitals are now an important issue in SEO. If there is going to be no further development, might see if I can disable the font referenced in javascript and just add it manually to my theme headers via preload tag.. hopefully it works and resolved the problem.

The font is preloaded in the last version.

Cheers Blaz for making the INTERNAL font

    XXXX/wp-content/plugins/rate-my-post/public/css/fonts/ratemypost.woff?9e18pt

pre-loaded, it makes a massive different to core vital statistics in google.. or at least on our site it does. apology in my previous thread for referring to it as a google font, when it isn’t.. my bad.. tried to edit my thread, but couldn’t do so, so acknowledged my error below your comment.

Thanks for doing it too.. on some of sites urls are switching to ‘good’ vitals just literally by changing the pre-loading.
