Add Upsell item via products ID list ?

    Hello,
    is exist a way to add multiple Upsells and Cross-sells via a list of products ID ?
    Something like : 23017,23013,15640,15517…

  • Hey Nexus,

    Good question. The product upsells and cross-sells are stored by product ID number. If you export a product, you’ll see them listed like this in the CSV file.

    You can add multiple ones by importing a CSV that has them listed by ID. On the back end of the site, they have to be entered in one at a time. You can’t paste a list of ids into the fields. The system has to get these, one by one.

    this is sad news.
    More than one products share the same cross-sells product. If product A have B,C and D as cross-sell products, B will surely have A,C and D as cross-sell….

    Entering the same cross-selling products on each product is really time-consuming.

    Hi @nexusfred,

    This can be time-consuming indeed. The fastest way to do this out of the built-in methods is to use a CSV export/import. You can export your products add the cross sells and then import them again. These can be added more quickly in a spreadsheet app.

    The other option would be to use a recommendation extension that automates this. Here are a couple that can do that for you.
