Is there a way to use a code or something to add a user name to the body of the email. For example other plugins have a code you enter for their name. Like Dear %first_name% or what ever so you can personalize the email. Is that possible. Thanks!

    Hello:
I wrote a function to add a first_name shortcode to Quick Mail emails.

Use it like: Dear [first_name] in your message.

    Please see quick-mail-first-name-shortcode.php.

Copy the file and paste the contents into your theme’s functions.php.

    Hope this helps.
Please reply if you have questions or comments.

    Best wishes,

    Hello again:
This solution is flawed, because Quick Mail displays the translated shortcode after the message is sent.

I will release an update for WordPress 4.8, about June 8, that will fix this problem.

    Best wishes,
    Mitchell
