add widget to sidebar of front page ( HOME )

    i installed WordPress on my site before 1 week and from that time till now i can find any help for my issue

    i used Theme Nictitate , and when ever i tried to add any widget to sidebar of Header ( same as photo slider or photo sequence ) , there are no sidebar shon , nothing change at all
    i think this because my home page is the same of the blog page !
    and i dunno how to solve this
