Added a page in yootheme "Balance" but no text appears on the page

I am updating a friend’s site. The theme is “Balance”, by yootheme. The site was created in 2012 by someone else. I have some experience with WordPress, but I have never seen this issue before. I am using my friend’s login and have been able to make several updates, but one thing is not working. Wondering if it might have something to do with the theme.

I have added a page; the link appears in the top navigation menu, but the material that is supposed to appear when you click on this link does not show up. I have been able to add and edit text on pages that were already operating when I stepped in. I have been able to delete a page for a blog that had never been used; in fact, I tried reactivating the blog page and entering text there and the same thing happened — when I clicked on the link the text didn’t show up.

I have cross-checked the settings for the new page with pages that already existed and worked, and nothing seems to be different. I have gone through all appropriate steps for activating text, clicking Publish, etc.
