    Hello,

We recently experienced a bug in the plugin where some of our recent customers in August did not receive an automation email, despite most customers receiving it OK.

One of the common denominators is that some of the contacts show “Added on Invalid Date” when searching the contact from the audience. Funny, that Invalid Date doesn’t show when viewing the contact profile.

FYI I noticed there was a similar issue reported last year: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/some-signups-not-syncing-invalid-date/

In this case we are using the latest plugin version. Our classic automation is triggered when a contact joins a group interest. The interest was successfully added OK, so that is not an issue.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello, I want to reply with an update. We found that there is another scenario where some other contacts did not receive the automation email. Some were already subscribed, some were not subscribed and some were unsubscribed.

I will note that most of our audience who made a purchase received the email OK. Over 200 contacts were updated OK, only about 12 fall into this group that did not receive the interest group update. For these 12 contacts we had to add the interest group manually in Mailchimp to trigger the email

I did reach out to Mailchimp support and shared with them a few of the contact emails. They looked at the records and found that there was no reason that the contacts should not have had the interest group applied. So we believe the issue lies within the plugin.

Can you offer any reason why this might happen or confirm whether this is likely a bug that affects some contacts?

    Thank you!

    Hi @sagescrub,

To assist you further, could you please provide us with the following information:

    1. The version of the Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin that you are currently using. This will help us determine if there are any known issues or updates that may address the problem.
    2. Could you clarify the roles of the customers who did not receive the automation email? Were they administrators, customers, or a mix of both? The Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin syncs orders for users who are assigned a WordPress role of either a?subscriber?or?customer. However, it does not sync orders for users with an?administrator?role.
    3. Did you encounter any fatal logs or error messages during the process? If so, please provide us with the details. This will help us identify any potential issues or conflicts that may have occurred.
    4. If you’d like us to look closer at your site, please enable remote diagnostics from the plugin:
      • Login to the WordPress admin console.
      • Go to the “Plugins” section and click on “Mailchimp for WooCommerce”.
      • Click on the “Settings” tab inside the Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin.
      • Activate the “Enable Support” checkbox under the “Remote Diagnostics” section.

By providing us with this information, we will be able to investigate the issue more effectively and provide you with a solution or workaround. We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we work towards resolving this matter.

If you have any additional details or questions, please feel free to let us know. We are here to help!
