added taxonomy "location-categories" will not show

Dear all,
I have made a custom taxonomy trying to add a category to the location page of EM. The taxonomy exists and i can now go to one of my locations and add a category. However, i am unable to show the new category in a page, menu or anywhere else in wordpress. Just get a “page not found”. From looking around I understand that additional code is needed so that wordpress understands that on a specific page it should show all the items that have the newly added category. But I am no coder and I am mightily confused… which code goes where to be able to show the output of the newly added category tag in EM locations?? Help much appreciated
