• Hello all. I’ve successfully uploaded several themes to my site, and they do properly appear in the Presentation section. When selected, the presentation section updates to indicate that new theme is active, but when viewing the site it remains the default.

Even further: if I attempt to change something via the theme editor, all indications are that I’m in the appropriate theme, ?BUT? If I try and change the header/color that too defaults to the default theme.

    thoughts?

  • Question: Are you running the WP-Cache plugin? If so, go to options->wp-cache and turn it off when editing themes.

Second Question: Are you clearing your browser’s cache when changing themes? Sometimes the browser cache will trip you up when looking for changes.

Thanks HandySolo. I don’t have the WP-Cache plugin, and did clear the cache. HOWEVER while checking for the presence of the Cache I did find that I had “Theme Switcher Widget” installed and active. I turned it off and now my themes load.

I would like to use the “Theme Switcher Widget” but I’m not going to let it stop my work. Any thoughts on what might be the issue there?

    If not, I’ll move along….
