• Seeing this once added –

Hostin on Hostgator – set up the addon domain with host. Domain owned through Name.com and adjusted nameservers accordingly.

Seeing this when I type in or go to site from main dashboard.

That domain is meant to go to a multisite sub-site, correct? I think the problem is the target folder you set for the add on domain actually exists on your server. For multisite to manage sub-sites, all sub-folder references need to be “virtual” and not actually exist. If they really exist, multisite never gets control of the request.

Was it a timing thing then?

Within the Master account I created the domain boxtolive.com and updated the url name serverse.

Then I did’nt see action so I uploaded wordpress through hostgator and have the site up – boxtolive.com

Can I merge it – connect it to the Master – wld be so helpful for themes and plugin shares….?

    Thanks

I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you are trying to do. New domain DNS configurations do take time to take effect. Changes within WP are generally instant, but caching could cause you to see stale results. Which multisite are you using? Sub-folder or sub-domain?

If you want two different domains to go to the exact same site, you need to make a modification to wp-config.php. Otherwise WP expects only one domain or sub-domain per site. But external to WP, all domains or sub-domains should all lead to the principal WP site.
