AddFromServer Plugin Issues and Questions

    I have a question as to WHY AddFromServer plugin creates a bunch of alternately sized images while performing its image and videos moves from uploads. It places these in the uploads directory for the month. It seems like a total waste of time and storage to have to do this. Not only that, it prevents me from importing more than one or two images at a time. The plugin also has no status as to what’s being imported and how it’s going. In fact, I am not sure this plugin solves anything, since I can see the same kind of errors and inefficiencies using wordpress upload directly, instead of sft’ing and using this plugin.
    Thoughts!?

    This forum is for the Jetpack plugin, which is not associated with the Add From Server plugin. It appears that plugin has not been updated in some time, so you may wish to consider finding an alternative.

    Hey @bruceallen I want to efficiently, quickly and with the ability to select more that one (read a bunch here >20 often times) move files from my monthly uploads folder into WordPress for use in blogs. Currently, loading image files is the most difficult thing for me to do. I don’t think I should have to edit and reduce every image I take with my phone so that it will upload fast. It’s 2022, not 1992. Any thoughts?

    Just so you know, I have tweaked my htaccess and wp_config.php all sorts of ways to allow for larger files, but its still a PITA to files up there so I can write a post.

    Any help appreciated.
