Adding a block with sharing on FB and/or X does not work with a dark theme

    Adding a block with sharing on FB and/or X does not work with a dark theme – only a white background is visible, not the FB and X icons.
    After updating to WP 6.6.1, only the X icon is visible in the old layout, not the FB icon.
    After inserting the Jetpack sharing block, only white backgrounds are visible in the icon locations, both when editing the template – then after hovering the cursor over the block, the FB or X icon appears for a moment, and after moving the cursor back, only the white background appears again, and after the content of the published entry – then only a white background is visible instead of icons.
    For the time being I left the old layout on the blog, but only the X icon is visible, not the FB icon, even though sharing for FB and X is enabled in the configuration.

    Hello there – You can change the color of the sharing buttons that you are adding on the page/post from the right sidebar in the block settings.

    Thank you – creating blocks has a small nuance with styles, they must be defined before inserting the appropriate icon – you can already see the correct icons in the blocks.
    Additional question: where did the share counters go, e.g. on FB?
    Will the block icons count them again, or is there some trick to show the counters from previous shares the old way?

    I think the color is getting changed due to theme style because if you use a white background theme, the icon appears there fine. You can check here: https://capture.dropbox.com/GCtC4qDb9l9fTOhi

    Additional question: where did the share counters go, e.g. on FB? Will the block icons count them again, or is there some trick to show the counters from previous shares the old way?

    Actually, Jetpack doesn’t show how many shares done by website visitors on social media on the frontend so you won’t see share counters for the share buttons.
