• Hello,

Please can you let me know the best way to add a call to action button in the header area? I’d like it to be around the area where the text is positioned, and it could replace the text if needed. Is there a way to do this without page builder?

Thank you for producing such great themes. They have rapidly become my go-to option.

  • Hello,

You should be able to add a button to your header through use of widgets.

Firstly, add this plugin to your site:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/

Then, go to Theme Options> Header Settings, and make sure the widget area is enabled. From there, go to appearance> Widgets, and add a “visual editor” to the header widget area.

Within this widget, generate a shortcode button, and save the widget.

Let me know if you’re able to get it placed where you want with this method.

    Hi Kevin,

Thanks a lot for your response. When I use this method the button goes alongside the navigation menu (home, FAQs, contact etc).

Would you be able to help me to get it to appear in the middle of the header image instead. I’d love to have the button around where the text in your template says ‘let’s find some place to get lost’. https://www.ads-software.com/themes/ascend/

    Thanks so much again,

    Kate

I see! The best way to do this is through use of a page builder plugin to build the page title area. You can add it to your home page content with your desired page builder plugin, making sure that “page content” is set to the top of your modules in Theme Options> Home Layout.

See here for more information on page builders:
    https://www.kadencethemes.com/recommended-page-builders-for-wordpress/

I’ll also note that the Kadence Slider included with the premium theme has options for adding a button and any other text over an image that you may want.

Let me know if the page builder option works for you.

Actually ignore my previous post. With the button shortcode you can actually add it to the “Home Page Subtitle” area of Theme Options> Home Page Header.

Just use a shortcode button like this, and you should be set!
    [btn text="test" tcolor=#000 bcolor=#FFF thovercolor=#F2F2F2 link="" target="_self"]
