adding a category from subdomain to a widget

  • ok, it’s a little complicated.

    i have a website with a subdomain. each works with a different theme and a different dashboard.
    my domain has a widget that shows all the categories in it.
    when you click one of the categories in the widget, it takes you to the archive of that category.
    when you click on one of the posts in the list – it takes you to the post itself.

    i want the widget to show one of the categories in the subdomain.
    clicking on it will take you to the same kind of an archive as the rest of them – still inside the main domain and with its theme.
    clicking on one of the posts in the list – takes you to the post itself, in the subdomain.

    e.g.
    niros.com has a category widget that lists rabbits | flowers | cakes.
    stories.niros.com has posts in a category called books.
    i want the widget to show books right after cakes. clicking on it will take you to an archive with all posts in that category – the archive still inside niros.com.
    clicking on a post in the archive will take you to the post itself, on stories.niros.com.

    how can i do it?
