Adding a column to my template

Hi all,

My husband has asked me to add adsense to his site because I did it easily with my own and am getting such good results.

Unfortunately, the coding is quite different to what is in the WordPress FAQ’s and while I have been able to add the adsense, it appears in a separate column underneath the blog text.

I’m sure I’ve forgotten something really simple, but I just can’t work it out!
