adding a forum to my blog

I am very new to all of this but i want to add a forum to my website. Can anyone explain how I can do this?

I suggest a plugin forum like Vanilla that integrates with WordPress:

There’s also xdforum, home page at https://xdweb.net. Since it’s a “normal” plugin, it’s a bit easier to implement.
