Adding a image to right hand panel

possibly use the textwidget to add the image;

example:

or one of the image widgets from the plugins – https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/search.php?q=image+widget

into a textwidget

i.e.
dashboard – apearance – widgets – drag a textwidget into the respective widget area, add the code into the textwidget.

alternatively, if you insist, you can edit sidebar.php (?) and add the image code there into a suitable location.
