    Hi

I am using the Iconic One Theme for my website (https://thewisdompearls.com)
And I am using the Easy Digital Download plugin to manage the downloads / purchases offered on my website.

I wanted to understand how to setup a simple Register + Login functionality so that users who want to purchase from my website have the option to do a guest purchase/checkout OR register/login and then make the purchase.

With the register/login option they can access their purchase history by logging back in to get hold of various downloads.

    How can I do this?

    Regards
    Samkit

  • Hi Samkit,

You can enable the login / registration forms on the checkout page from the Downloads > Settings > Misc settings screen.

You can also use these two short codes to add login / registration forms to other parts of your site:

    [edd_login]
    [edd_register]

    Hi Pippin

    Thanks for the info.
I did try what you said, but after that I do not see any login/registration form/option on my site.

So I think I would have to add those two short codes somewhere right?
Where exactly do I add them?

    Thanks
    Samkit

Are you viewing your site while logged in?

Yes (I assume logged in as in logged into WP right?) If so, yes.

Ok so I enabled the login / registration forms on the checkout page from the Downloads > Settings > Misc settings screen.

And I viewed the site after logging out from WP. I see that it now asks to create an account while checking out the purchase.
    So that works.
    Thanks

But about the short codes, where exactly would I be using those if I want similar kind of login/registration forms on some other sections of my website?

You will place those on any other page you wish.

For example, you could create a page called “Account” and then place the short codes there.
