Adding a Logo to Default WordPress Theme

In my blog admin panel, there is an option to change the font colors in the header, but I don’t see an option to add a logo to the header of the default blog theme. Is there a way to do that?

I have moderate coding skills, but would rather not make serious edits to the stylesheets in the admin control panel if I can avoid it.
