• OK, I have added pages to this WP site with no problem Now, my last page won’t show. I’m adding a “Contact Us” page. I can view the page, but it doesn’t show in the navigation. I have tried everything I could think of. There is plenty of room in the navigation bar, but the link doesn’t show.

Does anyone have any idea why this would happen?

I have rebooted my computer several times in case the site was cached, but that doesn’t appear to be the problem.

    thanks

  • how is the navigation done in your theme?

you probably find the code in header.php – depending on your theme.

can you link to your site to illustrate the problem?

    Hey alcymyth,
Thanks for the response. I did check out “header.php” but not see any limit to amount of links in the header.

Here is my site thus far: https://www.caillouette.com/Kline/wordpress/

You can see the contact page here: https://www.caillouette.com/Kline/wordpress/?page_id=219

I tried everything I could think of, but the link doesn’t show in the header.

    thanks again

how did you add the other pages to the menu?

did you drag them into the nav menu in ‘dashboard’ ‘appearance’ menus’ ?

have you ticked ‘Automatically add new top-level pages’

I just selected, “pages” then “add new” then typed in the the code and clicked, “update” or “publish.” It’s the same way I added all pages. I am totally confused.

    thanks for the reply

Got it, thanks. I went to the dashboard, clicked on “Appearance/Menu,” then clicked on “Contact Us” under “Pages” then clicked, “Add to Menu,” and it worked. Thanks so much!!!
