adding a permanent footnote.

  • Can anybody put me right on this? I have a good few guest authors who can post directly on the blog. I want to add a footnote to the each post stating that the contents of the post are the views of the Author and the Author is solely responsible for the contents of this post.
    I don’t want to have to add this every time, or have the author add it every time.
    How can I make this appear as a permanently appearing, un-deletable footer to EACH post? Anybody?

    Edit it in your theme’s footer.php ??

    Make a child theme, copy the footer over to it, edit ??

    Hi, thanks,
    but I think you are picking me up wrong. I don’t want to change the theme footer. I want the text “The views expressed in…” to automatically appear as the last lines of the actual post, whatever that post is, or whoever makes it. Legalities…

    Then edit single.php ?? Same idea. Figure out what the ‘right’ file is to put it where you want, and either use a hook to insert or edit the theme file directly.
