  • I too would love a solution for this. I changed the thumbnail size in the CSS, which worked, but the image quality is really bad.

I suspect the image size is being brought down to 48px x 48px and all I did was expand that processed thumbnail.

Looking forward to a hearing a solution to this!

The thumbnail is indeed scaled to 48×48.

If removing the scaling from the css results in a bad looking image. Then you should try to increase the default thumbnail format on the media settings page. This will however have consequences for all new thumb images in wp.

If for example your theme thumbnails are assumed to always be 48×48, and the format is not defined in a css file. And you set the new format to 150×150, then new thumbnails in your theme might be bigger as intended.

The option to add an image or set a bigger thumb format is on the todo list, but have to take care of other issues first.
