• I have a wp site at jonathanrundle.com/blog and when I try to add a plugin – any plugin – all other sites on the same server crash until the next day when they magically reappear. The same thing happens when I edit the sites’s footer. I went to customize, the first css loaded in the editor, then I clicked to edit the footer and now I get a “could not connect to jonathanrundle.com” error in chrome. Not only on that site, but on other pages I host like skiilight.com

Oddly, I cannot get them to load on my network connection, I CAN get them to load on my phone if I use the cell network. AND isitdownforeveryoneorjustme.com says they’re up.

I have no idea what is going on.

  • I know if sounds strange but does this problem exist if you are on a different internet connection? Maybe try on another wifi network? Just to see if that is somehow the cause.

I don’t have another connection at my disposal right now. If you try to visit them do they show up? I just tried again on my wifi and I get the unable to connect error. Assuming it loads for everyone else, I just wonder what the root cause is? It makes it hard to edit the site when I install a plugin or try to edit the footer and the site crashes.

I just logged in to my dashboard on the cell network, tapped “Jetpack” to manage the plugin I installed using my wifi and laptop earlier, and now the site is giving http error 504 gateway timeout

So it’s down for my wifi and down for my cell network, too.

I’m able to see the site and navigate around it.
