I have a site for my music business that uses Zerif Lite. I’d like to post private lesson material for my students to download. Sort of a private file sharing service. I also want this to be password protected so only my students or paying customers can access this. Blogs will show up in the latest news section but is there a way to make some blogs password protected and others not? Or make a new section that is completely password protected.

    Thanks!

  • Hi there,

This wouldn’t actually be theme related.

It sounds like you’re looking for membership site functionality. There are several plugins that can do what you described. But it may be as simple as setting certain blog posts as password protect, which is core WordPress functionality.

You can do this on the Edit Post screen for a particular blog post. In the sidebar under the “Publish” section, edit the “Visibility” setting to set it as password protected.
