adding a second administrator email address

    Hello,

    My first time posting here. Never have had the need to until now. My question; is it possible to add a second email address for ‘administration email address’ for an administrator? There is only one block without an option to add additional addresses.

  • That is an interesting ask. I did come across fields like primary phone number and secondary phone number in different applications.

    Can you please share a reason why you need a second email address?

    Usually, in WordPress, you can only specify one administrator email address through the standard settings. However, depending on what you are trying to achieve, you could, as a workaround, set up email forwarding from one address to another. For example, you can create a second email address and configure it to forward all emails from the primary admin email address. This way, you will receive notifications sent to both.

    Thank you for your replies! We were able to figure it out. I didn’t realize, when you add another admin, you can also add the second email recipient at that time.

    Hadn’t considered the forwarding option.

    The web site I am administrator for is a non-profit. I have been doing all of the content for years. I am adding a second admin to help with all of that.

    I tried using a comma and space and then add the second email in the admin email box, but that hasn’t worked. I checked today and there is no second email in the box and I no longer am receiving the emails from the web site at all.

    Both of us are listed as admins for the web site when I check in the settings. Can someone explain what is going on? I can’t just talk to someone at WordPress, so It’s kind of frustrating.
