Adding a sidebar to a single page

  • In my theme options I’ve selected the option for not having any sidebars on my pages which is great because I don’t want it looking too cluttered. However on two or three pages I’d like the option to add a sidebar.

    Is the only way to do this to add a new custom template and upload it using FTP?
    If so how could I modify the code in copy of the page.php file to get what I need?
