? Adding a wide widget area to existing theme

  • Hello,
    I would like to add a widget after the end of the content in the body, within the body.
    I have managed to register a widget area – I see it in appearance>widget.
    But I don’t know how to assign it the area I want.

    Please assist!
    Note: Use newb language please.
