• hi, I’m working on a project where client wants an image on select pages with a picture and the title of the page. the only way I see it possible is through a widget in the header and a conditional widget to select the appropriate pages. I looked at the file widgets.php but that leaves me scratching my head. I have created a widget before for header, footer, you name it. maybe I’m getting too old. any method described in those tutorials work? thank you. souleye

Hey, go to theme options > topbar settings and choose to enable the widget area in the right of topbar. From there you can go to appearance > widgets and drag and drop what you need.
    Hope this helps!

thank you hannah for your contribution. I don’t know if I’m asking too much but I wanted to leave that widget alone, in case we wanna use the social widgets. I want to create a new widget area by going to the functions file and register a new widget area. if anyone has done it before it will be helpful. thanks.

You can add more than one widget to the widget area

thank you again. this widget, if I’m not mistaken is in the top bar. I would like to have a widget below the main menu. so my options seem limited to moving that widget from its location or creating a new widget area. I think that creating a new widget area gives me more options. I may consider looking for another theme because this seems limiting to me. thank you again.

    So in the content area?

You can use this plugin to add a widget area anywhere using a shortcode: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/widgets-on-pages/
