Adding ability to choose

    Before i head down another rabbit hole ad try and figure out the what where etc of custom taxomny.
    What I want as a end result is that when a product is being added by me or a user, they have, in the product name field, the ability to choose from say 100-200 specific names by way of either a search or a drop down menu .
    Does Custom Post Type UI the tool to achieve this with? Is there a video of how to ?

    No code snippets or videos for that topic available from us. We’ve never tried to tackle and document how to switch the metabox to a dropdown instead of either the manual typed in terms or a standard checkbox.

    I do wonder if something like Advanced Custom Fields could handle that.
