Adding About or person bio

Im using WP on Bluehost. I think I understand how to add a profile pic using Gravatar, but I’m confused as how to get my person profile to show on my blog. I tried adding some profile info in WP under user profile, but dont see it showing up anywhere on my blog when I preview it. Do I need a plug in or does this need to be build into a template. I am using a basic free template right now. Thanks
