adding akismet tags causes fields not to load

version 5.0.5 since 5.1 and 5.1.1 cause the plugin to not work (eg, just show the shortcode). When I add akismet tags to fields, they stop showing up.

Eg, the following tags only show the “message” item and the submit button:

[text* your-name placeholder ‘Name’ akismet:author]

[email* your-email placeholder ‘Email’ akismet:author_email]

[textarea your-message x3 placeholder ‘Message’]

[submit “Send”]
