• I want to create a FAQ page on my blog. This will have the standard FAQ format with Questions listed at the top of the page followed by each qn and the answer. Clicking on any question from the top list will take the reader directly to the answer. Ie if there are 15 qns in my FAQ, they are all listed top of the page. If a reader clicks on qn 14, they are dropped to the bottom of the page where answer to qn14 is written.

Please can anyone give guidance how to do this?

    Thanks.

  • Hey,

This can be done using posts and a couple of custom loops. The first loop could get a list of post titles (this would be you questions) as links at the top of the page. Then the second loop could display the post content which would be your answers.

I’m not at my computer at the moment so can’t give you the example code but if you look up custom loops in the codex you should be able to do this!

If no one else replies to this post before I get home later I will post some code here for you!

    Regards

    peterjharrison/ others on WP,

I read through the codex article on writing loops. It was not most intuitive as I am not a coder/ dev. Please can you send me the code or descibe the codex loop better?

    Thanks again.
