• I am using icompany, I asked their support but they won’t help, keep saying they don’t provide that sort of support…weird…

All I want to do is edit the relevant php file so I can add some image mapping code (? don’t know if I’m asking the right question), to the custom header I made in photoshop for the twitter and facebook icons I added so that my customers can find our fan page and twitter account.

I’ve looked through the header, index, style.css, etc, but cannot find the part that I need to modify. I cannot find my custom header listed in any of the php files…ironically when I look up the source at my website, I can see the custom header url in there, but I cannot in the php files.

What do I need to do, help!

  • I don’t think you need an image map… but start by giving the address of your site.

I do need an image map because the icons are embedded in my header. I just need to know where to put the image map code I have generated into what specific php file. The site is not live, I’m using a plugin that keeps it private to public so I can’t show it at the moment.

general guess: usually you’ll find the coding for a header image in header.php

more specific: this forum does not support commercial themes – keep asking the theme’s seller for support.

Why are you embedding social media icons into the header? That is never done these days. I haven’t heard of image maps since 2002!

Such icons are mostly (virtually always!) displayed separate to the header. Separate your background – your title and whatever else you got there.

Do not have a header that is just one image file. It will load slower and look bad.

    That is my advice.
