• Hi all,

As my user name indicates, I am a brand new user to WordPress and not very techie.

I am using “WordPress for Dummies” book for reference. I am trying to add an image to my header.

My Dummies book tells me “Click the Header link in the Appearance menu on your Dashboard.”

But I see no header link when I click on Appearance. I just see: Themes, Customize, Widgets, Menus, Premium Themes, Editor.

I have tried going into Appearance > Customize > General > Upload your logo, thinking that the logo was like a header, but when I did this, the image I uploaded just completely covered up the spot where the title and subtitle are currently appearing. I tried resizing the image to make it very thin so there would be enough room for the title, subtitle, and header, but it still covered everything up.

Can you please explain how to add a header using a step-by-step process or in a simple way so I can understand?

    Thanks in advance!
