Adding banners and logos

I’m new to WordPress. All my web site background is in html, I know just a little about customizing css pages. I recently did a website using WordPress for a racetrack. I need to add a banner or some sponsor logos to the page, but don’t know where to go to edit the page in order to do that. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
